ABOUT ANGELA STANFORD
Major Champion Angela Stanford has been one of the stars on the LPGA Tour for nearly two decades and shows no signs of slowing down.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Stanford graduated from her hometown Texas Christian University with a degree in communications in 2000. She burst on the LPGA Tour scene 1n 2003 with a win at the Shoprite Classic. Stanford has gone on to capture nine titles on the LPGA Tour.
After 13 top-10 finishes in major championships, Stanford’s crowning achievement came in 2018 when she captured her first major, The Evian Championship.
Stanford had been a mainstay on American Solheim Cup teams, representing the United States six times. For the competition this year, Stanford will serve as an assistant captain but is also in the hunt to be a player on the team.
Stanford founded the Angela Stanford Foundation in 2009, which provides scholarships for families affected by cancer in the Fort Worth community.
